Beta-glucan
Beta-glucan is a polysaccharide and is isolated from the cell wall of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. It is produced using biotechnologies and in the absolute absence of materials of animal origin of any kind.
Beta-glucan has a moisturizing action by binding a lot of water and creating a non-occlusive film on the skin, thus avoiding the loss of skin water and promoting natural moisturize. It also helps protect the skin from external agents thanks to its soothing action and its ability to boost the skin’s immune system. It also performs a restorative and preventive action against photo-induced damage, acting as a natural filter. It is the perfect ally of mature skin thanks to its antioxidant and accelerator action of the renewal of the stratum corneum and for its anti-wrinkle action given by the stimulation of fibroblasts, cells responsible for the synthesis of collagen.
