Olive oil is obtained by cold pressing the pulp of Olea Europea olives. Due to its many benefits, olive oil is also widely used in the cosmetic field. The composition of olive oil rich in oleic acid has nourishing and emollient properties for the skin. In addition to oleic acid, there are linoleic acid, palmitic acid and stearic acid and antioxidant active ingredients including Vitamin E and phytosterols with restorative action and squalene, one of the main components of skin sebum.
Olive oil has antioxidant properties, protects from the harmful action of free radicals and prevents the effects of aging. It is an emollient oil that deeply nourishes the skin and regulates the skin’s natural hydration system. It is well tolerated even by the most sensitive skin thanks to its soothing action on redness and irritation.
